NCCE PARTNERS WITH CONTENT OASIS TO BOOST ICT ACCESS IN TEACHER EDUCATION

The National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Content Oasis Limited to provide wireless broadband internet services across Federal Colleges of Education. The agreement, sealed on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the NCCE Headquarters in Abuja, was described by the Executive Secretary, Professor Paulinus Chijioke Okwelle, as a landmark step in advancing teacher education through digital transformation.

Professor Okwelle explained that the initiative followed wide consultations with stakeholders. He noted that under the arrangement, Content Oasis would provide broadband infrastructure and base stations at no cost to the Colleges, offering flexible subscription models to ensure affordability.
The partnership is expected to improve internet access for students, lecturers, and administrators, strengthen ICT integration in academic programmes, and extend digital services to surrounding communities for broader socio-economic benefits. Okwelle emphasized that the project would equip future teachers with the necessary tools to thrive in Nigeria’s knowledge economy.

The founder of Content Oasis Limited, Mr. Diseye Isoun, praised the vision of NCCE’s leadership and pledged his company’s commitment to turning Colleges of Education into smart ecosystems. He assured stakeholders of sustained support to ensure the success of the initiative.
