The Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Colleges of Education, Dr. Mrs. Angela Ajala, heartily congratulates Segun Aina on his appointment as the Registrar/Chief Executive of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB.
Dr. Ajala describes the appointment as a call to strategic national service at a defining moment in Nigeria’s education reform journey.
According to her, JAMB remains one of the most critical gateways into tertiary education in Nigeria, and its leadership must continue to advance access, credibility, transparency, fairness, innovation, and public trust.
She notes that the relationship between NCCE and JAMB is especially important as Nigeria works to reposition teacher education, strengthen admission pathways into Colleges of Education, improve enrolment into the NCE programme, and restore dignity to teaching as a profession of national importance.

This is a season that calls for courage, competence, collaboration, and reform-minded leadership. Dr. Ajala further expresses confidence that the new Registrar/Chief Executive will bring renewed energy, institutional wisdom, and purposeful leadership to the Board, while strengthening JAMB’s role in supporting credible admission processes and national human capital development.

She prays for wisdom, strength, and success for him in this new assignment. She assures him of NCCE’s readiness to collaborate in the collective interest of Nigerian students, institutions, and the education sector.
